Kazakhstan's data access service now links 481 systems
Kazakhstanis have withdrawn their consent to the processing of personal data 719,000 times. The service that controls access to such data already has 481 digital systems connected to it.
The figures show that people do use the right to take their consent back, and that data handling increasingly runs through one point of control. For a company, the difficulty is practical: customer and employee data sits in a CRM, in accounting software, in spreadsheets and in email, and a withdrawn consent has to be reflected everywhere. The more systems there are, the harder it is to say who sees what.
Check where your company stores personal data and who can open it. Access rights should follow the company structure: in 1Cifer, the director's, accountant's and manager's agents each see only their own part of the data, not the whole database. Keep a record of who opened which data, when and why, so the answer is ready when a client asks.
